Interview Tips from Target's Campus Recruiter, Amy Squire!

What are Behavioral based questions?
Behavioral based questions uncover what you have done in the past – what was the situation, behavior (or action) and outcome (or result).
When answering Behavioral based questions, ensure the following:
·
the Interviewer learns what the situation was.
·
the Interviewer learns what your specific behavior/action was (this is
where you should spend most of your time).
· the
Interviewer learns what the outcome was.
When answering Behavioral based questions, keep in mind the following:
·
Scope – what is the significance or impact of the behavior relative to the
circumstances described.
·
Complexity – were your actions elaborate or simple in nature. Think of
behaviors that are more complex and involve greater planning, multiple steps
and advanced skills.
· Effort –
what was the level of determination demonstrated by your actions taken in
response to the challenges you faced.
