Western's Volunteer Program
Western's Volunteer Program provides current Western students with practical experience and the opportunity to enhance their learning and civic responsibility while addressing campus community needs.
Through Western’s Volunteer Program, students are given the opportunity to work on a volunteer basis under the guidance of a supervisor from Western or an affiliated institution. These supervisors include faculty and professionals from the Western Campus Community who are willing to mentor committed Western students throughout the year for 3-10 hours a week of practical experience.
Using the CareerCentral database you can search for the volunteer opportunities that interest you. Login to CareerCentral using your student username and password and click on the “Jobs” tab. Using the “Advanced Search” option, select “Western’s Volunteer Program”. Follow the instructions in the job posting to apply.
Students can take the initiative to arrange their own volunteer experience with a faculty or staff member, however this match will need to be registered through Western’s Volunteer Program.
